BALAYAGE Haarlem
Blond French Balayage
The great thing today is that we know everything that happens around the world. What are the latest hair trends. The trend is French and we love that because our roots are in Paris.
What differs in trends is the techniques we use. The color specialists at Pierôt are specialized in all French Blond techniques because they follow L’Oréal training internationally and work with the best hairdressers in the world. First we equalize the highlights with a root shade and then use the Gloss or toners.
What is Balayage
Think of it as the most casual form of highlighting: BALAYAGE! This French technique dates from the seventies and gives a beautiful, natural look. Balayage looks easier than you think. Our hairdressers create beautiful soft color nuances through sweeping and blending techniques with bleaching and toners.
Balayage is a real salon classic, but that doesn’t make this hairstyle any less interesting. Balayage is no longer a trend, it is a way of coloring in which we seamlessly blend colors from dark to light.
The reason this trend has been around for so long is that the color grows out gradually with a soft overflow. It is a low maintenance look that won’t leave you rushing back to the salon for a touch up every few weeks. Unlike, for example, a coupe soleil which does growth out visibly. Nowadays, there is a lot of mixing and matching going on. Balayages are alternated with babylights. Balayage has become a classic hairdressing treatment.
Balayage is derived from the French word Balai, which means broom. We use a special non-staining blonde powder to sweep soft streaks through the hair, creating a natural sun-kissed effect. This hair painting technique can be applied with multiple shades, so that light and dark strokes ensure a vibrant result.
WHICH COLOR BALAYAGE
The balayage technique works with different colors, creating a subtle ombre effect in highlights. First, we set the highlights and color them with a gloss toner. As a result, your hair with balayage looks much less dyed compare to a regular coupe soleil. This is because all the shades we use in your hair blend perfectly. Balayage, therefore, looks very natural and you no longer have to worry about outgrowth.
With a balayage you can vary a lot with color. The coloring technique can be applied to brown, black, blond and red hair.
Coloring specialist
During each visit, we will discuss the options. With our creative approach, we can update or recreate color: re-color or re-create. In our salons we give you extensive color advice, to help you choose the right color for you. We create custom hairstyles and colors that not only match your hair type and skin tone but are also “on trend”.
OLAPLEX & SMARTBOND
During coloring, your hair can weaken or even break. Olaplex and Smartbond are great products that we use to protect your hair during the coloring process. Smartbond protects your hair and strengthens during coloring. Olaplex protects your hair and strengthens during coloring or as aftercare for your hair.

Olaplex and Smartbond are great products that we use to protect your hair during the coloring process, or as aftercare for your hair. Some people prefer to use Olaplex just in their highlights because that is the treatment that damages the hair the most.
For those customers who take very good care of their hair, we have an Olaplex double shot. Each shot costs €15,50. If you want to finish with an Olaplex toner, the costs are € 31.
Is bleaching bad for my hair?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Although most coloring products are less harmful than they used to be, you need to remain careful when you go for a new color. The hair fibers are affected especially when the hair is bleached. We work with L’Oréal Professionnel Smartbond especially to combat this.
Here’s the thing: Your hair contains both strong bonds (sulfur bridges) and weak bonds (salt bridges). During coloring process, these compounds can seriously weaken or even break. Smartbond protects your hair and strengthens during coloring. Smartbond is added to the coloring or bleach to protect the hair connections. Then Smartbond is used as a pre-shampoo when the color is rinsed from your hair to restore the structure of the hair fiber. Step 3 is a conditioner that you use at home around once a week to maintain the caring effect of Smartbond.
