Coiffure award
The Coiffure Award is the most important event of the hairdressing industry where the top hairdressers in the Netherlands show the latest trends. To date, Pierôt has been nominated every year in various categories and has received this Oscar from the hairdressing profession three times.
Global Salon
Business Award
Pierôt has also won a special prize at the entrepreneurial level: the Global Salon Business Award. Over 3000 salons from 23 countries worldwide participated in this competition. The Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for Client Philosophy, Marketing & Promotion is a prize for the vision and the way in which Pierôt Coiffures & Beauté interacts with its customers through innovative promotional activities, loyalty programs and excellent service, as well as their success in the marketing its brand and image.

Over the years, Pierôt has worked on many metamorphoses and makeovers in various magazines. The team made a name for itself as the hairdresser of the weekly magazine Privé and for being the hairstylists of the major couturiers and fashion brands.

Our history
The name Pierôt originated in Paris in the early 1960s. Maurice’s father, the Haarlem-based Jean Pierre, was affectionately named Pierôt by his French clientele.
Becoming a hairdresser was inevitable for Maurice Pierôt: “My father was a driven and passionate professional and that I would become a hairdresser just like him, was not a conscious decision. The salon is my home, my base. ” And that basis, according to the entrepreneur, makes all the difference in his business operations together his wife Daniella.
1964
The beginnings of Pierôt
The name Pierôt originated in Paris in the early 1960s. Maurice’s father, the Haarlem-based Jean Pierre, was affectionately named Pierôt by his French clientele. Upon his return to the Netherlands, he opens his first salon in 1964 under the name Jean Pierôt Haute Coiffure.
1985
Hairdressers award
Maurice’s cradle was literally placed in the salon and at the age of 14, he started working in his father’s salon. When, in 1985, he receives his first hairdressing award under his own name, this is barely noticed in the press. From that moment on he takes on the Pierôt name and goes on to win many hairdressing awards. Maurice is an artist, a top hairdresser with passion and love for the profession.
1989
The beginnings of Pierôt
In 1989 Maurice meets model Daniella during one of his many hairdressing shows. There’s an immediate spark and Daniella makes a successful career switch to the hairdressing profession. Daniella’s organizational talent combined with Maurice’s creativity turns out to be a successful formula. They open a salon in Heemstede in 1993, build an international career together and leave a clear Pierôt signature on fashion shows and photoshoots. Together they win several prestigious Awards and are responsible for stunning makeovers in various television programs and in leading magazines.
2002
opening second salon
In 2002 Maurice and Daniëlla open their second salon in Amsterdam and gain national fame with their new salon with an outdoor salon with swaying palm trees. The “Fashion District” is the place to be where ” all of Oud Zuid” wants to be seen at Pierôt. .
2007

Maurice and Daniëlla opened their second salon in Amsterdam in 2002 and number three in Haarlem followed by March 2007. A dream come true with an ultimate feeling of luxury well-being and beauty. The pure passion and ambition to excel has led to this fantastic salon of 400 square meters designed and decorated with care by architect Cees Dam. The Barbershop by Pierôt is a huge success in 2012, a formula that has been copied a lot since. In 2014, Pierôt celebrates its golden anniversary. The whole year is dominated by the ‘Jubilée d’Or’ …
2014

Pierre opens his first salon in 1964 under the name Jean Pierôt Haute Coiffure, to which his partner René joined in 1972. Fifty years later, Maurice Pierôt and his wife Daniella celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pierôt Coiffures & Beaute. In the weekend of March 21, Pierre and René sharpen their scissors once more and their former customers are back in line.
2015
The New Cutting
In 2014 Pierôt launched “The New Cut”, a different way of cutting with special scissors called Chameleon. These scissors ensure that physical complaints with hairdressers are a thing of the past. As hairdressers, we have the happiest job in the world, but in terms of working conditions, we all know how tough the job can be. The New Cut is about creating awareness and working healthily. By developing our new cutting techniques using ergonomic scissors, we improve working conditions and create a new creative freedom.
2020
Corona Free salon
Who could have thought that the world would be changed like that by a Coronavirus. We have all come to realize that we need to be careful with the world and our society. Globalization is slowly coming to a halt and we are therefore focusing even more on our customers with an ultimate feeling of luxury well-being and beauty. Our Corona protocol is strict, we amply meet the requirements of the RIVM and go even further to make our customers and our team feel safe.
